Elderly Man in Springfield Stabbed Multiple Times in Home Invasion


SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — A 73-year-old Springfield man was stabbed multiple times tonight after his home was broken into by thieves looking for money.

Springfield Police Lt. Alberto Ayala says they received the call just before 9:00 p.m. for an incident at the home at 92 College Street.

Lt. Ayala told ABC40 News, “They forced the back door open.  Money was demanded. The elderly man who was in the home was stabbed 18 times.”

The unidentified man was transported to a local hospital.  At this time his condition is unknown.

The thieves were able to make off with a large amount of money.

Police are searching for the suspects and continue to investigate this incident.  Their descriptions and how many there were is currently unknown at this time.

  1. Elderly man stabbed 18times would b a Miracle from God if this poor man makes it these sick fcks should still b put away for life and yes it sure sounds like someone who knew he had alot of money there it’s nit a coincedence that’s for sure!!
