(WGGB) — A 14-year-old girl is thanking her lucky stars this morning after she was rescued from a near death situation in Hanover, Massachusetts. Fire officials say that Richard Cullen was out riding his bike when he heard screaming coming from a pond. Cullen was able to grab a nearby branch, plunge through the ice, and rescue the young girl who was struggling underwater to pull herself out.
