Super Sunday at JCC in SpringfieldSPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — It’s Super Sunday at Springfield’s Jewish Community Center, where volunteers spent the day calling to raise money for the Jewish Federation.
The Jewish Federation supports the local day schools, synagogues, and other Jewish organizations in the area.
“It’s really important because we support so many programs in the community, calling people, raising money, so it’s good not only for the local Jewish community but also Western Mass in general,” says Jeremy Powers, chair of Super Sunday.
Powers says their goal is to raise 1.6 million.
The group will continue fundraising at the JCC next Sunday starting at 9 am.
