Falling Construction Worker Saved by Bubble Wrap

BOSTON, Mass. (ABC) — A construction worker was saved from serious injury or worse Monday morning when he fell 30 feet off a building, but landed on bubble wrap, a spokesman for the Boston Fire Department said.

The 38-year-old worker fell from the building at 1959 Commonwealth Ave., which is under construction with scaffolding wrapped in bubble wrap.

The worker fell into a pile of the wrap on the ground.

Boston firefighters said the man was stuck and needed to be cut from the bubble wrap.

The man, who was not identified, suffered back and shoulder injuries and CCT
required hospital treatment.
