If you haven’y ever used their rest room ask to. It’s a wake up call!! You have to cut through the kitchen to get there and OMG. I saw roaches and cigarette butts on the floor in the kitchen. I hear they have a relative in the DA’s office I guess that’s how they don’t have to obey health code rules everyone else does.

They bake “fresh” every day and I love their pastry’s. Gus n Paul’s service isn’t the greatest and their prep area I can say is disgusting! I’m surprised they haven’t been closed down for the way they store their food!

These are the same people that have no understanding of what it takes to keep a business moving especially during a recession. Throw in a few economic set backs like broken equipment etc. and you can find yourself in trouble. Fast.

As someone who grew up in a family business I understand the challenges that face a small business owner even in a good economy. G&P is a Springfield institution. Their baked goods are amazing and fresh. And if you think their prices are high you obviously do not frequent supermarkets because food prices across the board are high.

I vote for supporting small locally owned business. They are what keeps are local economy healthy.
