SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — The threat of snow Friday has forced Springfield’s AHL affiliate to postpone their hockey game.

The Springfield Falcons were set to take on the Albany Devils Friday night at 7:00 p.m. at the MassMutual Center.

Falcons President and GM Bruce Landon says in a statement that “Due to the potential significance of the storm, we feel it is in the best interest of the safety of our fans to postpone the game.”

Friday’s game has been rescheduled for 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 2 and tickets to this Friday’s game will be honored on that April date.

The Falcon’s next home game will be held as scheduled on Sunday, February 10.
