LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WGGB) – If you’re in the market for a Steinway Grand Piano, some workout equipment, or pottery wheels, now might be a good chance to get a deal, as one local town works to sell off some surplus goods.
Chad Thompson, the Procurement Manager for the town of Longmeadow, says that the town is working to “dispose of unwanted surplus property that will remain after the staff transition to the opening of the new Longmeadow High School.”
The items are currently available via eBay in an online auction. The bidding will end at various times on Saturday, February 9.
“The eBay auction is an attempt to recycle items that have value and can generate revenue. The funds generated from the auction go to the town’s general fund,” Thompson adds in a statement.
Among the items up for bid include several pieces of weight lifting and strength training machines, as well as some pianos and pieces of kitchen equipment. Also available are pieces of audio and lighting equipment and art equipment, including pottery wheels.
Winning bidders will be able to pick up their items between 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 19 through Friday, February 22. Those winners will also responsible for their own pickup and removal of the items.
