SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) – Officials with Springfield’s Catholic Diocese is urging parishioners to use caution when considering heading to services this weekend.
In a statement released Friday afternoon, the Diocese is urging “all Catholics to heed travel advisories and restrictions as indicated by local and state officials, including to stay off the roads during the peak storm hours and allow for emergency and plowing operations.”
They are asking parishioners to “use good judgement” when determining whether to head to Mass with a hope that conditions will improve as the storm pulls away Saturday.
The Diocese does note that Canon Law says that the obligation to go to Mass does not apply where “there is a grave difficulty in fulfilling that obligation” should conditions not be well enough to head to church Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning.

Why are there so many “news stories” telling people what to do?
Be sure to get to church on Sunday, the Catholic Diocese is running low on funds for its pedophile defense fund. It’s Sunday bi*chs were is my money?
