Well I have read all the comments and some of us can’t calmn down and be patiant. Over 36 hrs later we are still buried in snow and our street is still unpassable. What is the city of springfield doing all I am hearing is 1 eccuse after another while we suffer. All we want to do is get out of our street and right now we have a wall of snow about 8 – 10 ft tall in the middle of our street. Here is a riddle “How do you remove a wall of ice from the middle of the street?” This is what what will be happening tomarrow.

Some of the commentators need to chill. People cannot go out and shovel a street for heaven’s sake! Some people might be sick, may need to visit an ER or may work in a hospital. Someone might have a job interview or someone may need to take their sick infant out to calm them down. It is easy to sit, read this when your own street is plowed and ask everyone else to be patient or comment on how lazy they are. I think we all need to chill, help our neighbors whenever we can and hold our leaders accountable. Everyone understands that it may take some time to plow all the streets, but 2 days later is uncalled for.

they knew this was coming, they should have gotten help from states that got less… didnt the state sue the electric company for not being prepared and leaving people in the cold?

Call me crazy but I would say we have a lot to be thankful for if this is the biggest worry right now… We could be without power, heat, or food. If you need to be somewhere that bad grab a shovel. I know lots of people who have done it.

That’s a lot of snow on tons of city streets that are heavily populated with homes… They have to find places to move it all to & they also had to by law take a break & after a certain numbers of hours driving. They’ll get it done, patience… Bring them out a cup of coffee or say thank you.

It’s not just Springfield. I know of several other cities and towns who have the same problem. Be patient they will come and plow. Plus stop complaining I them taking a break. When we work we take a break. It’s a LAW to take one

And they posted a phone number you can call to report your street, except the number has been busy for over 2 hours….way to go Springfield. Swallow your pride and ask for help from, oh, I don’t know…east Longmeadow who has CLEARED all their streets!!!

What’s it all about ? There must be money to plow in the budget.. Not like we have had a bad winter so far??.. Not that I live in Springfield but I DO work there. To see unplowed streets on my way in to work seemed unacceptable.
