No School Monday in Springfield; Plow Complaints Continue

AMnemo-05

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) – Mayor Domenic Sarno just announced that Springfield Schools will be closed Monday, as the winter storm clean-up continues.

The Mayor admitted to ABC40 that he’s frustrated with the pace of the snow removal on side streets. He asks that residents still dealing with poor conditions call 787-6276.

In addition to Springfield, several other major districts have started cancelling Monday classes, including Agawam, Holyoke, and West Springfield. For a complete list, click here.

  1. Sarno only spent $650,000 and has another $500,000 to go and if he doesn’t spend it now how can he approach the city council for more money in the next stor?. Not to mention pleas to MEMA, FEMA and the Deval. We shuld all try to get $2,000 stipends like they did in Katrina and take the DPW and their sub contractors to court for violating our taxes and rights to go to work or at least tend to the infirmed and elderly. Martha Coakley where are you when we need you?
