People are legally allowed to drink themselves to a stupor and be out of control, but smoking or eating a natural plant used as medicine in several cultures for thousands of years is illegal because there is no viable way to put it in a pill. Doctors can prescribe pills that are basically heroin. Coincidence since the Afghanistan poppy fields are now in US control. The heroin use in our community alone is 10 times per capital than in 2000. We drug test for workers. The real harmful drugs are out of the system in 72 hours or less, while a plant is forbidden and takes up to 45 days before a drug test is passable. Kids do drugs. Testing has led people towards cocaine and opiate use as opposed to a less harmful while still addictive after long term use plant.
