It was 2 feet of snow for crying out loud. You can’t move that much snow with just any plow truck. West Side DPW did a great job. 90% of main roads were passable by 9 am Saturday. Just because they left snow at the end of your driveway doesn’t mean they didn’t plow!!!!

I drove around town over the weekend it really wasn’t horrible. Springfield residents had to use shovels & snow blowers to even get an emergency lane to get out of their streets. I’m greatful for what was done & really think people need to have a little more gratitude & a lot less attitude.

Happened here in Belchertown back in the snowstorm of Oct 2011. Who got the streets plowed first and power back on first? The two guys who live hear each other that worked for the power company. Gee. Must be nice. Oh well.

Can’t say I loved the pile at the end of my drive way but that’s life :) they were out for days & nights working to find places to put all the snow and by saturday morning had atleast emergency lanes down each street, by Sunday they had widened everything. I think they did great & appreciate the hard work. As far as stealing a DPW truck I’d say no jail time make him work voluntarily for the DPW & see how that works out for him.
