Firefighters Battle Early Morning Flames in Springfield
February 15th, 2013
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — Emergency crews worked to put out a fire at 1033 Allen Street Friday morning.
Aide to the Fire Commissioner Dennis Leger told ABC40 that the call came in at around 3:00 a.m.
No one was inside the house at the time of the fireĀ becauseĀ it is currently up for sale. Firefighters say the flames started somewhere in the attic and caused about $50,000 in damage.
Leger says that the cause of the fire was an electrical issue in the kitchen area.
