I don’t think anyone would pretend to be transgender to go into a bathroom or locker room. Do you have any idea the hell these kids are going through? I agree with Amanda – if kids were taught early on what this means, it wouldn’t be a problem. Sure there will be moments of embarrassment, but our kids are resilient.

That’s the problem in the world too many people are moving on! Letting what some may call a little issue slip through the cracks and than it turn’s into a much bigger issue there is a much deeper issue at hand here and some people do not care to take the time, to address at this level and when it becomes more intertwined and alot more right’s of other’s who don’t agree than what? I think a coed bathroom is a good idea.. Kid’s are going through enough now aday’s and some parent’s think that just because a child is healthy on the inside that thing’s of this matter doesn’t effect their psychological level.. I have way too much research ,to expond on this page ..with that being said please look into the cause and effect of this matter in the long term affects it will have on our children and their psychological out come, and where this little issue turn’s into..

I watched a show on 20 20 the other nite on a transgender boy. Very interesting. I didn’t realize there were so many that the state had to make this ruling?

People..get over it! You are worrying about kids “seeing each other” , im sure they can come up with other ways to “see each other” if they really wanted to! Kids are not stupid, they will figure out a way if they want to. I really wish this world wasn’t filled with so many ignorant people who have such stupid opinions on things that does not matter! Your children are healthy, you should be greatful!!! Move on .

I think they should have one bathroom in the buildings that is coed and the others boys and girls.That way everyone has a choice and noones rights or safty is an issue!

Wow.. What about the rights of the kids that don’t want boy’s in the girl’s room and girl’s in the boy’s room.. Some kid’s would do it just so they could try to see each other..

If schools would do a lesson on what it means to be transgender early on, like with the puberty classes they start around third grade then I don’t think it would be much of an issue with the kids. It’s the parents that will flip out. The children would see it as normal as long as their ignorant/transphobic parents don’t brainwash them to believe different.
Prejudice is taught, it’s not something children are born with.

so then we will have “boys” going in with girls and “girls” going in with boys,…. I wonder how comfortable that will be for others… and not to mention why label then?
