Shop Owner Pistol Whipped during Armed Robbery

HighlandAntiquesHOLYOKE, Mass. (WGGB) —  A business owner suffered minor injuries this afternoon after they were pistol whipped by 2 masked armed men who were there to rob the store.

Police are currently searching for the suspects.

They received the call at 2:30 p.m. this afternoon for an armed robbery at Highland Antique on Cray Avenue.

Lt. Matthew Moriarty told us, “Two masked individuals go in, a revolver was shown and we now believe that was used to strike the owner.  Subjects fled the store, cut across Northampton Street onto Shawmut Avenue.”

At this time authorities don’t know exactly what the suspects stole, but they were last seen leaving in a tan or gold medium sized sedan.

If you have any information that can help police fined these armed men, please contact them at 413-536-6431.
