Natl. Weather Service: 10 Inches of Snow Possible on Cape Cod
BOSTON (AP) — A week after a mammoth storm buried parts of New England in up to 3 feet of snow another system could drop 10 inches on Cape Cod with lesser amounts inland.
The National Weather Service says at least a half-foot of snow is expected for Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket by Sunday evening. Strong winds are also expected with gusts up to 50 mph.
Cape Cod had between 8 and 17 inches of snow in last week’s monster storm.
Meteorologist Matthew Belk says Boston and Providence can expect 6 to 8 inches; central Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire could get up to 6 inches.
Farther north, a blizzard watch is in effect for parts of Down East and Northeast Maine with wind gusts in excess of 50 mph possible.
