Fire Breaks Out at Oakland Street Home

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — Fire investigators say that an overheated stove caused a fire on Oakland Street Monday afternoon.

Fire broke out at the home at 341 Oakland Street just before 4:00 p.m.

The fire started in the kitchen and caused about $60,000 in damage.

The Red Cross has been called in to help approximately 10 people who have been displaced.
