Power Outage Hits Parts of Holyoke

HGEweb

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WGGB) — A power outage hit part of the Paper City for a portion of Monday afternoon.

It appears that the outage hit the area around Mount Tom, with the Bemis Heights/Bemis Road neighborhoods, The Log Cabin, and The Delaney House all without power for a several hours Monday afternoon.

Kate Sullivan from Holyoke Gas and Electric says that as of 5:00 p.m., the cause appears to be a failed switch gear and all power had been restored.
