Police Seek Help Locating Missing West Springfield Man

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) – Springfield Police are looking for the public’s help in locating a missing man.

33-year-old Shawn Dunson was last seen around 11:30 p.m. Sunday, February 3 leaving McCaffrey’s Pub on Main Street.

Police say that surveillance video from the MassMutual Center shows Dunson crossing State Street at Main Street around that same time, but that’s the last anyone has seen him.

Because he does not have a car, Dunson’s family tells police that he either walks or takes a cab wherever he may go.

Dunson, who works at Big Mammou’s on Liberty Street, is known to frequent the downtown Springfield area, as well as crossing the Memorial Bridge or the train trestle by foot to get home to West Springfield.

Dunson is described as a black man, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall, and weighs about 135 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on Dunson is urged to call Springfield Police at (413) 787-6303 or (413) 787-6360
