Deerfield, Mass (WGGB)-  Western Massachusetts educators met in Deerfield on Monday.  Teachers met to discuss how to better prepare their schools for emergencies. This in the wake of the December shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

The Association of Independent Schools in New England often schedule speakers but this is the first time an emergency response expert came to talk with teachers in western Mass. They discussed everything from tornadoes to chemical spills.
