Chicopee Chamber of Commerce Shining Stars Awards

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WGGB) — The Chicopee Chamber of Commerce honored accomplished people and business owners tonight with its annual “Shining Stars Gala.” There are three awards.

Business of the Year went to Birch Manor Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center.

Lorraine Houle, Founder of Lorraine’s Soup Kitchen, was recognized as the Citizen of the Year.

And Volunteer of the Year went to Ernest Laflamme, Jr.

“They’re all members of the chamber and all (are) being recognized for their contributions to the community as well as their efforts and their milestones in their businesses,” explains Gail Sherman, President of the Greater Chicopee Chamber of Commerce.

The winners were nominated by members of the community.
