Barnes Air National Guard Base gets New Commander

Barnes ANG sequesterWESTFIELD, Mass. (AP) — A new commander will be taking charge of the 104th Fighter Wing at Barnes Air National Guard Base in Westfield.

Military officials say Col. James J. Keefe will assume command at a ceremony on Saturday afternoon.

Keefe will take his new job after five years as vice wing commander.

Base officials say outgoing commander Brig. Gen. Robert T. Brooks Jr. was recently promoted and reassigned.
