Friends, Family Set to Remember Murder Victim Amanda Plasse

amanda

Chicopee, Mass. (WGGB) – Sunday night, friends and family will gather at Ray Ashe Park in Chicopee for a balloon release in memory of 20-year-old Amanda Plasse.

Plasse was murdered in her Chicopee home on August 26, 2011.

The balloon release is scheduled for 5:15 p.m.

Plasse’s killer has never been caught.

Her case is among a group of unsolved murders that the District Attorney’s office is re-examining.  Advances in technology in the past two years could help detectives in finding new clues in Plasse’s murder.

WGGB encourages readers to share their thoughts and engage in healthy dialogue about the issues. Comments containing personal attacks, profanity, offensive language or advertising will be removed. Please use the report comment function for any posts you feel should be reviewed. Thank you.

Releasing balloons is a felony in some places and a danger to wildlife and also considered air pollution, like that guy in Dania Beach, Florida who got nailed five days ago.
