
HOLYOKE, Mass. (WGGB) — Police are investigating a shooting for a man and his 5-year-old Wednesday in the Paper City.
Holyoke Police Lt. Matthew Moriarty says that officers were called to the area of Lyman Street and North Summer Street around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday for a report of shots fired.
It was around the same time a daycare was letting out of its morning session, and feet from a playground.
When officers arrived, they found two victims: a 5-year-old boy, who was shot in the knee, and a 26-year-old man.
Both are suffering from what Moriarty describes as non-life threatening injuries at an area hospital.
The victim’s identities have not been released.
The shooting remains under investigation and no arrests have been made.
