Greenfield Police Investigating Possible Serial Robbery

GREENFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — Police are looking into whether a serial bank robber may have struck another bank in Greenfield.

Greenfield Police Dan McCarthy says that just before 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, a man went into the Greenfield Cooperative Bank on Federal Street and robbed the bank.

Witnesses saw the suspect leave the bank and get into a car that was parked in a nearby lot.

McCarthy adds that there are “a lot of similarities” between Wednesday’s robbery and the robbery of a TD Bank branch on Main Street on February 17 and March 3.

Investigators have been also able to connect the car seen Wednesday to a particular person and police are trying to locate that individual.

Anyone with information on Wednesday’s robbery, or either of the other cases, is asked to call Greenfield Police at (413) 773-5411.
