Two Car Accident Sends One Person to the Hospital

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — A two-car crash in downtown Springfield sends at least one person to the hospital.

The accident happened around 4:00 p.m. at the corner of Main Street and Congress Street.

The impact of the crash sent one of the cars up and onto a fire hydrant.

Our photographer on-scene reports that the passenger from one of the cars had to be extricated and was taken to Baystate Medical Center.

The accident remains under investigation.
