SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — A suspect is behind bars this morning after two home invasions on the same street.
Around midnight Sunday, police received a report of a man trying to break into a home on Garfield Street in Springfield.
By the time officers arrived, the suspect had fled, but just moments later, police received another call for a home invasion on the same street.
According to police, a man entered the second home on Garfield Street and assaulted two residents, kicking and punching them — even slashing one of the victims across the abdomen with a knife.
The suspect then fled the home with several stolen items, but as he was leaving, officers pulled up to the property and saw him trying to sneak away.
After a brief pursuit, they caught up with the suspect and found he was carrying stolen property, as well as a weapon.
This morning, police say he is in custody. They have yet to release his name.

To bad they didn’t shoot the mother f&$¥#€. So tired of stories like this. Many times when home invasions happen people are afraid to defend themselves because of the F’d up laws in the state and be prosecuted for doing just that defending themselves or family members or even just property. Hope people are alright and the perp goes away for a long time and not with just a slap on the wrist.

think about it, it would give them a bit if competition of stealing peoples money.
He will.be out by Tuesday doing the same thing because he has rights. The victims though have no rights because they have no recourse as far as what happens to this piece of ****

Victim rights or not, you come into my house in welcomed and I will defend my self and kids. I’ll deal with the laws later

I agree with you Alison. But have you taken the gun safety course that’s required in order to gain the right Tina license . The material involved would make you say WTF Not sure I want to own a gun now. This state lacks logic.
