Snow Totals from Today’s Storm

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — Mother Nature has dumped one last bout of snow before Spring begins on Wednesday.

There’s a few inches of snow on the ground, making for a messy morning commute. As the morning progresses, another inch should fall in the Valley and other two to three inches will accumulate throughout the day across the  hilltowns.

Here are some of the totals from area communities:

7″ – Blandford, Buckland

6″ -Charlemont, Greenfield

5″ -Northampton

4″ – Worthington, Huntington, West Springfield, Brimfield, Southwick, Westfield, Holyoke

3″ – Springfield, Chicopee

2″ – East Longmeadow, Longmeadow

Once the storm has wrapped up, we should expect 3 to 5 inches of snow in the lower Valley.  Another burst of snow this afternoon  could drop a 1-3″ across the hills and Franklin County with perhaps another inch in the valley.

Let us know what the weather is like where you live. E-mail us your snow totals or pictures to the ABC40 First Warning Weather team.
