State to Seek DNA Samples from UMass Rape Suspects


NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WGGB) — Prosecutors are seeking DNA samples from four men accused of raping a UMass student in October in her campus dorm room.

Motions filed by the state for samples from 18-year-old Caleb Womack, 19-year-old Emmanuel Bile, and 18-year-old Adam Liccardi will be heard in Hampshire Superior Court on Wednesday, April 10.

19-year-old Justin King of Pittsfield has already submitted a DNA sample.

The men are accused of raping a female UMass student in the early morning hours of Saturday, October 13, 2012 in her university dorm room.

They were indicted by a Hampshire County Grand jury with three counts each of aggravated rape on December 6, 2012. Liccardi was also indicted on that day on one additional count of rape.
