Springfield Garage Fire Under Investigation

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — The Springfield Fire Department worked to put out a garage fire at 257 Dickinson Street. Aide to the Springfield Fire Commissioner Dennis Leger told ABC40 the fire started at 11:38 p.m. Wednesday.

The two-story, two-car garage was destroyed along with a Chrysler minivan.

Leger said the flames got so hot that $10,000 in damage was done to a neighboring two-story house.

There were no reports of injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
