Man Rushed to Hospital after Springfield Shooting


DWIGHT SHOOTINGSPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — A man is rushed to the hospital after an early-morning shooting in Springfield.

It happened at 1:40 a.m. Saturday at Stearns Square near Dwight and Worthington streets.

Springfield police tell ABC40 the victim was shot multiple times.

They say he’s now in stable condition.

Officers arrested three suspects following the shooting.

They say the men were driving a black Cadillac. Police recovered a gun, as well as marijuana and crystal meth from inside the vehicle.

The Springfield Detective Bureau is still investigating what prompted the shooting, but police believe it was not random.

  1. They will.be back on the streets by Tuesday because these so called people have ” rights ” They took the victim rights away when they shot him. Springfield has become the wild west.
