SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — A late Monday morning crash has sent three people to the hospital and caused heavy damage to a city home.

Dennis Leger, aide to Springfield’s Fire Commissioner, says that just after 10:00 a.m., emergency crews were called to the corner of Tyler and Orleans Street for a two car accident.

One of the vehicles involved in the crash – a pickup truck – went up over the curb and came to a rest after hitting a front porch.

Three people were taken to an area hospital to be evaluated for minor injuries.

Leger adds that the porch is unsafe and has been condemned.

Pittman, you shouldn’t come to conclusions w/o knowing the whole story. How do you know it wasn’t just trying to cross the street? You shouldn’t judge if you dont know! ;)

These houses should be crossing the street at crosswalks. It’s too dangerous to just dash out into the street.
