Xbox Live offers deals on downloadable games

Starting tomorrow, March 26, Xbox Live is holding a sale on downloadable games and content. Both paying and free Xbox Live subscribers can take advantage of the lower prices—most games are 50 percent off, and a few are even free. The sale runs until April 1.

For reviews, tips, and advice, see our guide to video games, consoles, and tech toys.

Some of the sale games have been around for a while; but popular titles are included, such as Assassin’s Creed III, L.A. Noire and Dead Rising 2. Parents be warned: Most of the games on sale carry a Mature rating from the ESRB, though you can also snag Spider-Man 3 (rated Teen) for half off. You can also check out the first episode of the very popular Walking Dead game from last year for free; if it hooks you, the remaining four episodes are marked down 50 percent.
