Obama will visit Mexico, Costa Rica in May
WASHINGTON (AP) — The White House says President Barack Obama will travel to Mexico and Costa Rica the first week in May.
Obama talked by phone on Wednesday with Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto (PEN-ya Nee-ET-o) and looks forward to discussing economic and other mutually important issues with him in person.
In Costa Rica, Obama will meet with President Laura Chinchilla as well as leaders of other Central American countries and the Dominican Republic. They will talk about fostering economic growth and working together on “citizen security,” the White House said.
The trip will take place May 2-4.
