FAIRFIELD, Conn. (WGGB) — It’s happened to most of us. You go through a restaurant drive through, and when you leave, you realize they gave you the wrong order.
Most of us would chalk it up to an honest mistake and go on, but police say that kind of mistake sent one Connecticut man into a frenzy.
55-Year-Old Geoffrey Weglarz came back to the McDonald’s that messed up his order and started banging on the locked doors – screaming and swearing.
Weglarz then went to the drive through window and threw his bag of food at the pregnant woman working inside.
“It escalated pretty quickly. To go from placing an order at McDonald’s to behaving in such a manner that you’re now throwing things at one of the employees, causing them to lockdown McDonald’s because of your behavior is irrational and frankly unacceptable,” says Fairfield Police Chief Gary MacNamara
Police found Weglarz at his Fairfield home, where they found two guns, one of which was loaded and tucked in his waistband and hundreds of rounds of ammunition. He did have permits for the guns, but police took them away, and charged him with breach of peace.
