Saint Michael’s Cathedral in Springfield had a night of prayer and music with the help of dozens of parishioners.
The music commemorated the suffering and death of Jesus that marks a definitive story in Christianity.
We spoke with Springfield resident, Thom Healy who told us, “”Well it certainly is the most reverent day in the Christian season. It’s the reason why Christianity even exists today because there’s hope for a brighter future in the afterlife.”
The church holds similar events for Christmas and will serve Easter masses this coming Sunday.
