Two NH Sisters Give Birth on Same Day in Same Hospital

ROCHESTER, N.H. (WGGB) — A string of coincidences led to two New Hampshire sisters giving birth at the same hospital on the same day.

Stacy and Tricia Knox originally had due dates weeks apart, but they ended up giving birth to their sons at Frisbie Memorial Hospital two hours and 16 minutes apart Tuesday morning.

Tricia Knox said she kept her contractions a secret so she could continue to be her sister’s cheerleader at the hospital.

“So I actually ended up going into labor, and she was there for my support, and she secretly went into labor,” Stacy Knox said.

“I started having contractions in the morning when they told us she was 8 centimeters, and I decided to not tell anybody,” Tricia Knox said. “Her mother in-law told the nurses I was having contractions.”

The Knox sisters had rooms next to each other in the hospital.

Their loved ones rushed back and forth to support both as they went through labor pains.

Originally, one of the boys was due on Sunday, while the other was due April 12, but they said there were various coincidences throughout their pregnancies.

They were both having boys, they had ultrasound appointments on the same days throughout their pregnancies, and they had the same obstetrician.

The sisters said they are close, and this bond will make them even closer.

“They’ll probably have the same bond that we share,” Tricia Knox adds.
