Wanted: Herica Rivera

Crime Files 4 4 13SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — Last August, a 24-year-old woman was having an issue with her rent, so she went down to the Colonial Estates leasing office to sort things out.

She never expected to run in to Herica Rivera — a woman she considered to be a friend.

“Herica Rivera burst into the office grabbed the victim by the hair, punched her repeatedly, choked her, beat her up and she pulled her hair so hard that clumps of hair came out of her head,” says Springfield Police Sgt. John Delaney.

To make matters worse, the victim was 7 months pregnant.

“Very visible that she was pregnant,” says Delaney. “The two had to be separated.”

He adds, “Police officers responded — about half a dozen cops came flying up here.”

The victim left the scene pretty banged up, but luckily she and her baby were fine.

That same day, Rivera was arrested on assault and battery charges.

“She went to court that day for an arraignment, but she hasn’t been seen since,” says Delaney.

If you know Rivera’s whereabouts, call the Springfield Police Department or text an anonymous tip to C-R-I-M-E-S.
