Bellamy Students to Hold Clothing Drive

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WGGB) — Students at the Bellamy Middle School in Chicopee are preparing to take part in a statewide clothing drive.

Friday, students began to get organized for tomorrow’s launch where they will collect donations from the public and deliver them to families in need.

The students involved say they are proud to help those less fortunate.

“It really is good to help out kids in Massachusetts because we want to provide everyone with an opportunity to succeed so they can have the capabilities to be productive and have a great life,” says eighth grader Hannah Chapdelaine.

Eighth grader Nick Amo hopes “To just make the kids proud and excited to wear new clothes and maybe that they cant have to afford.”

Those who want to donate clothing can visit the Bellamy Middle School from 10:00 am to 2:00 p.m. starting tomorrow.

They are looking to collect gently used clothing, with sizes from newborn to adult large.

The drive continues through April 10.
