Long Lines Form for Tickets to Obama’s Conn. Visit

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (WGGB) — Hundreds of students are gathering at the University of Hartford to try and get their hands on some limited tickets for an upcoming visit from President Obama.

During an event to be held Monday at the Chase Family Arena at the university’s Sports Center, the President is expected to talk about gun reforms and ask the American people to join him in calling on Congress to pass what he calls common-sense measures to reduce gun violence.

Students at the West Hartford school began lining up early ahead of the 5:00 p.m. release time and get a ticket to the event, which is only open to UHart students, faculty, staff, and White House invited guests.

We will have complete coverage of the President’s visit Monday on ABC40 News.
