Holyoke Police Make Arrest after Shots Fired

nazario, xavier edwardoHOLYOKE, Mass. (WGGB) — Holyoke Police arrested 21 year-old Xavier Nazario of Jackson Street,  after shots are fired during an early morning argument.

At approximately 6 a.m. Sunday, Holyoke Police received a call for shots fired near 733 High Street after an argument.

It was then that Police observed Nazario walking away towards Jackson Street. Police were able to detain Nazario who attempted to reach for his gun which they were able to knock from his hand.

Nazario faces numerous charges including discharging a gun 500 feet from a building, possession of a firearm without identification, possession of a loaded firearm and resisting arrest.

Nazario will be arraigned in Holyoke District Court on Monday. He also has warrants out on him in both Chicopee and Springfield.
