Paper City Program Looks to Help Home Buyers

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WGGB) — Nationwide…the real estate market looks to be in an upswing. This according to Holyoke real estate agent Megan Lynch.

While she says it may no longer necessarily be a buyer’s market, the city is following the larger trend of people buying homes.

And Buy Holyoke Now… a program that offers initiatives for people looking to purchase houses in the city is helping that.

“We’ve seen such an increase in buyers feeling a lot more confident in buying,” explained Lynch. “The interest rate certainly help, but if it’s priced right, it’ll sell, and it’ll sell quickly in a shorter period of time.”

Buy Holyoke Now offers incentives like the Borrower’s Assistance Program that helps first time buyers with closing and down payment costs and deals through Holyoke Gas and Electric.
