Traffic Stop Turns Drug Bust in Holyoke

Drug Bust

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WGGB) — Two are arrested on drug charges after a routine traffic stop in Holyoke.

It happened around 6:30 pm Saturday when an officer spotted a car with no muffler near South Bridge Street and stopped it to speak with the driver.

While speaking with the driver, the officer allegedly observed their behavior as anxious and saw empty baggies in the vehicle.

When asked if he had any substances on him the driver, 21-year-old Zachary DiGrigoli allegedly removed two needles from his front pocket and confessed to also have some white powder.

Meanwhile his passenger, 27-year-old Tricia Reynolds, handed over two crack pipes and some additional powder. The officer arrested both individuals and Holyoke Police recovered additional drug paraphernalia from the car.

Upon booking, five additional bundles of heroin were taken off the suspects.

DiGrigoli and Reynolds have been charged with possession of Class A and B substances with intent to distribute, drug violation near a park or school and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

Both DiGrigoli and Reynolds are first time offenders who will be arraigned in Holyoke District Court tomorrow.
