Probate Judge Rules on Westfield Senior Center

WESTFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — Westfield moving ahead with plans for a new senior center.

Mayor Daniel Knapik announcing Monday afternoon that a probate court had ruled in favor of the city to proceed with the development on Noble Street.

The ruling allows the city to deviate slightly from the will of Mary Noble, who envisioned her land to expand the Ely-Dolan Housing Complex.

Instead, the new plan will feature a building where seniors can gather for activities, similar to the ones in Holyoke and Agawam.
