ABC40 Honor Roll – Students Become Real Life Film Makers

LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WGGB) – Students at the Center School in Longmeadow became real life film makers on Friday. Fifth graders in Laura Giuggio’s Technology Integration Class have been taking part in a new type of class project. Students have been using green screen technology to put together movies. Over the past few months the school has served as a make shift movie studio. Last week the kids got to show off their hard work.

The fifth graders approached their movies like experienced film crews. The kids created storyboards, took part in script writing and became seasoned anchors, actors, directors and producers.

Students also learned about the technical aspects of film making. They kids are now able to add music, titles and credits to their films.
