Four Arrested at Sobriety Checkpoint in Springfield
SPRINGFIELD (WGGB) – Massachusetts State Police were out in force last night – working to keep intoxicated drivers off the roads.
A sobriety checkpoint was set up on West Columbus Avenue in Springfield – just outside the Basketball Hall of Fame.
According to police, a total of 186 vehicles were stopped at the checkpoint. Four people were arrested for operating under the influence.
A saturation patrol set up prior to the checkpoint resulted in three additional arrests, one of which included a drug arrest.
