BOSTON, Mass. (WGGB) — It’s been a confusing day as the investigation escalates into the Boston Marathon Bombings.
After postponing earlier news briefings on their investigation on Wednesday, the FBI scheduled an 8 p.m. briefing for Wednesday night, only to cancel that news conference 15 minutes after making the announcement.
Earlier Wednesday, there was a frenzy with activity sparked by media reports of a possible arrest in the case.
Federal and local authorities later said there is no arrest, and did not provide any new information on their search for a suspect.
