Mount Holyoke College Holds Vigil For Boston Victims

Candles3SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (WGGB) — Students at Mount Holyoke College gathered Wednesday for a vigil in honor of those affected by the Boston bombings.

About 70 people gathered to light a candle and say prayers.

Members of the college’s sports teams ran a lap around the track to show their support.

“As the Boston Marathon was an athletic event, we feel really close to that, since we are on the soccer team. We have a teammate who was very personally affected…It was just a time for Mount Holyoke College students to get together and support for whatever we could do,” Cassidy Robinson, a member of the soccer team, said.

Student organized the vigil themselves.
