Slain MIT Police Officer Remembered at Vigil

WILMINGTON, Mass. (WGGB) — Just a day after the chaotic manhunt in Watertown, there’s a vigil for the police officer who was killed on Thursday.

The vigil is being held in honor of MIT police officer Sean Collier. It began tonight at 7:30 in Wilmington Town Common.

The vigil will also honor all of the victims of this week’s tragic events. Wilmington is Collier’s hometown.

Several hundred people are expected to turn out.
