Students Hold Vigil for Bombing Victims

WNEU VIGILSPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — Western New England University held a memorial of its own tonight in the wake of the Boston marathon bombings.

The candlelight vigil focused on community, interfaith connections, peace and hope.

It featured music, readings, and prayer.

Danielle Johnson, a Sophomore at WNEU says, “You just really need to come together with your fellow man and make each other feel better because life is too short to hold on to that anger, to hold on to that pain, you just have to let it out and be with the people that you love.”

The group also showed their support for Boston by singing “Sweet Caroline.”
